Barik Haider

Barik is a dispute resolution solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution. Having qualified in 2005, he trained and progressed at large national firms and has also worked at smaller specialist litigation firms. Barik has acted for a variety of clients, including large companies, SMEs and individuals and is often involved in complex high-value disputes. 

Barik's practice areas include contract disputes, professional negligence claims, banking/financial-related disputes, commercial fraud claims and commercial and consumer “sale and supply of goods and services” disputes.

Barik is very focused on the client’s commercial objectives and avenues for resolution. He is adept at boiling down complex disputes to the key issues and explaining the applicable legal or factual points to clients in a simple, jargon-free manner.

Work highlights include:

• Acting for a transport logistics provider in a complex multi-party invoicing fraud claim.

• Acting for a maintenance service supplier in a dispute against a well-known retailer over significant unpaid invoices and related complex contract-breach counter-allegations.

• Various professional negligence disputes primarily against solicitors, financial advisors, accountants, etc

Barik spends lots of time with his wife and young son. He enjoys playing tennis, swimming and is a boxing fan. He is also a keen reader and film enthusiast.
