Claire is a senior solicitor in Harper James’ employment team. Since qualifying in 1995, Claire has been advising employers on complex workplace issues, organisational change and senior-level employment matters.
Her experience includes time across leading private practice and in-house roles, including at international law firm Ashurst, and in-house roles at DHL and Yodel (now InPost). Claire also led the employment team at Hallmark Whatley Hulme before joining Harper James in June 2025.

Her in-house experience has shaped the way she advises. Having worked inside large organisations herself, Claire understands the need for advice that is not only legally sound but also realistic to implement across management teams and the wider business.
She is equally comfortable supporting clients with day-to-day employment challenges and more sensitive or strategic matters, including restructures, senior exits and changes affecting larger groups of employees.
Outside work, Claire is passionate about health and fitness. She enjoys running, hiking in the Malvern Hills, wild swimming and cycling, and has a keen interest in theatre and film.
