Genevieve Booker

Genevieve is a commercial property solicitor who qualified in February 2018. She has experience in dealing with a wide variety of commercial property situations including landlord and tenant matters and sales and purchases.

I have a broad range of experience advising different types of client, from public sector to startups to household names. This means that I am very capable of adapting to a client's specific situation and the stage they are at in their lifecycle.

Genevieve has joined Harper James from the public sector where she used her in depth understanding of the local authority, its motivations and its key considerations to provide tailor-made advice to suit operational needs. Prior to this Genevieve worked in private practice, her most recent role being with a Top 50 law firm.

Some examples of Genevieve’s experience include:

• Managing a project within the local authority which involved undertaking due diligence investigations for over 70 sites, presenting information in a concise and easily digestible way identifying key issues and proving practical solutions where possible;
• Creating bespoke precedent agreements to be rolled out for numerous sites, with the aim of saving money and maximising efficiencies;
• Advising on asset management and landlord and tenant transactions for a pension fund.

Outside of work, Genevieve enjoys an active lifestyle and loves to take on new challenges such as half marathons and climbing mountains.
