Michaela Davies
Chief Financial Officer
Michaela is the Chief Financial Officer at Harper James, having joined in 2025. As a CFO, Michaela leads strategic & operational decision making across Finance, People & Operations and Compliance. A key part of her role is to partner with the Founder & CEO and the leadership team to guide the firm through rapid growth. This is primarily enabled by turning analysis into strategic insight that influences business investment and resource allocation. She is also responsible for managing board & lender relationships and driving M&A activity.
Prior to joining Harper James, Michaela focused her career over the past 10 years in high-growth private equity-backed businesses – understanding, developing and transforming finance to drive superior business performance & long-term value. She started her professional career in audit at Ernst & Young. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she transitioned into its restructuring team.
Outside of work, Michaela enjoys travelling, particularly to Italy, sampling the local food & drink. She is also an avid gym goer alongside her husband and has become particularly focused on strength training in the past couple of years. On her rest days, she enjoys reading non-fiction and long walks with her dog, a cavapoo called Nala.
