Get in touch

Sally joined the employment team in August 2021 as a senior employment solicitor and became a partner in October 2023. Sally qualified in 2004 at international law firm DLA Piper, and worked there for a further 11 years. There she gained excellent skills and experience in employment law working for medium and large businesses across multiple jurisdictions and on complex legal and strategic issues. Since 2015, Sally has worked for two smaller legal businesses where her client base changed to SMEs giving her a fantastic understanding of the differing needs and priorities of any size of business and in a wide range of sectors.

Sally advises clients in a range of non-contentious issues in a plain English and pragmatic manner, including contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, bonus and commission schemes, TUPE and outsourcing, restructures and redundancies, changing terms and conditions, settlement agreements, IR35, disciplinary and grievance issues and data subject access requests.

Sally's particular strength and passion is in employment litigation where she has defended multiple employers in a wide range of claims including unfair dismissal, wages claims, discrimination, whistleblowing, collective consultation disputes, breach of TUPE and holiday pay issues. She also has a high level of experience in pursuing employees for breaching confidentiality and post termination restrictions. Sally has advised clients across a range of sectors, with particular experience in retail, hospitality, food, care, recruitment, manufacturing and tech.

Outside of work Sally enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, with the whole family sharing a love for travel, good food and restaurants.  Sally also likes to keep fit by taking outside Hiit classes and challenging herself on her Peloton bike.
