Sarah Fecitt

Sarah qualified in 2006 and has over 15 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property law.   

Sarah began her career in the South East at a firm which was subsequently taken over by Birketts, a UK Top 50 firm, gaining four years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property there before taking a career break to travel. Upon returning to the UK, Sarah returned to her roots in the North West and worked her way up to Senior Associate level via roles at UK Top 50 firm Weightmans and UK Top 200 firm Myerson. Sarah also has in-house experience having worked at The Emerson Group, one of the largest privately owned property development and investment companies in the UK.   

I have advised many types of clients over the years from large national and international retailers, to SMEs, start ups and individuals. This, coupled with my in-house experience, means that I am able to deal with many different types of transactions and clients whether large or small, tailoring my advice according to the client's own experience and background. I pride myself on being responsive and commercial, no matter the size of the transaction.

Work Highlights 

• Primary commercial property adviser to an international cosmetics company in relation to all of its leasehold acquisitions and disposals across London and the Home Counties. 
• Working in-house, advising predominantly on the group’s commercial and retail portfolios involving lettings up to £450,000 per annum. 
• Advising a property investment company with a large office portfolio across the North West in connection with all of its lettings and estate management requirements. 
• Leading a team on a £4.5m purchase of part of a new build, part-let freehold industrial estate in Cheshire.  ​ 
• Advising a high net worth investor upon the £3m auction purchase of a multi-let industrial site in Doncaster. 
• Securing instructions from a telephone enquiry to act upon the financed purchase of a multi-let property in Stratford-upon-Avon for £2.3m which involved the simultaneous refinancing of one of the client’s existing commercial properties.  
• Advising on the £2.5m acquisition of a tenanted industrial unit involving complex title and access issues. 
• Advising on CLLS Certificates of Title as a consultant for a Silver Circle firm in London in connection with various transactions including a £500m refinance.  

Interests 

Sarah lives near Manchester with her husband, two young sons and Labrador.  Outside of work, Sarah enjoys an active lifestyle including plenty of walking and early morning group training sessions in the gym. At weekends, Sarah will usually be found outdoors, either on football pitch sidelines or walking the dog.
