Humera is a Paralegal in our Dispute Resolution team, supporting solicitors on a range of contentious matters from pre-action through to trial. Responsible for both litigation support and legal operations, she oversees complex case files, drafts and files court documents within strict deadlines, manages operational tasks such as handling post, and coordinates meetings with clients, counsel, and opposing solicitors. Humera also assists with trial preparation throughout the dispute process, ensuring all procedural steps and timelines are met, among other responsibilities.
Humera began her career volunteering at Support Through Court, where she spent two years assisting clients through the complexities of the legal system. She worked closely with individuals to identify and complete essential court forms, improve their understanding of court processes using various legal databases, and prepare case materials for hearings. She also accompanied clients to court sessions, providing them with a clear summary of proceedings and guidance on their next steps. Her experience allowed her to develop a strong understanding of legal procedures and client advocacy, as well as effective communication skills in high-pressure environments.
Outside of work, Humera enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. She also loves travelling to different countries and experiencing new cultures.
