We're strengthening our senior management team with our latest Partner appointment, Rob Cobley.
We're delighted to announce the latest in a raft of senior management appointments with the arrival of Intellectual Property & Technology Partner Rob Cobley who joins us with immediate effect.
With particular experience working with technology and IP rich businesses – from crowdfunded start-ups through to large multinationals – Rob’s new role will see him operate across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
He joins us at Harper James, which has grown from one partner to five since the start of the year, from Harrison Clark Rickerbys where he was based for nine years as Partner and head of intellectual property and IT.
Commenting on his new position Rob said: “I’m delighted to have taken on this new role and to be working with the Harper James team to deliver the expertise and innovative legal service provision to clients that the firm is renowned for.”
“The Harper James service model is a potential game-changer for any business whether you are a start-up or multi-national. It creates great client relationships by giving businesses access to the right commercially-focussed legal advice at the right time in a way which works at all levels of growth. That’s particularly exciting in the field I work in, and I’m looking forward to providing specialist advice to Harper James’ growing clientele.”
Our CEO, Toby Harper, added: “Rob joins the team at an exciting time for the firm which continues to grow as an increasing number of businesses identify with and see the benefits of our unique legal services offering.
“It’s great to welcome Rob to the team and I have no doubt that his experience working in intellectual property and technology throughout his career will contribute to the further growth and successes of the firm, particularly in bolstering and supporting our wider West Midlands offerings.”
