Gosia is a senior intellectual property solicitor at Harper James, with more than 14 years’ experience advising clients on IP strategy, enforcement and commercial disputes across two jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Harper James, Gosia led the contentious IP practice at Geldards LLP, where she spent seven years working with clients across the private, charity and public sectors. She acted on disputes ranging from early-stage matters to complex, high-value litigation, with a strong focus on practical resolution where possible.
Gosia has been featured for many years as a Tier 1 Leading Lawyer in Intellectual Property law by the Legal 500. Her contentious IP practice has also been top ranked by Chambers & Partners. Gosia is also one of a select group of intellectual property professionals recognised by World Intellectual Property Review (WIPR) as an IP Leader for 2025, a global ranking showcasing leading talent among IP legal professionals.

Her practice spans the protection, enforcement and commercial use of IP rights, including trade marks, copyright, design rights, patents, database rights, trade secrets, confidential information and domain name issues.

- Supported one of the UK’s largest furniture retailers on IP strategy, trade mark, copyright and design disputes;
- Acted for a UK sports governing body on trade mark, passing off and brand strategy matters;
- Represented a leading NHS cancer trust in a £7.5m breach of licence claim involving IP rights against a major international pharmaceutical company;
- Assisted a national retailer with multiple IP disputes, ADR strategy and proceedings before the IPEC and High Court;
- Acted for a national retailer in a patent infringement claim before the IPEC;
- Advised an international software provider on High Court proceedings involving copyright infringement and breach of contract.
Away from work, Gosia enjoys yoga, bodyboarding, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. She is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
