Jen is a paralegal in Harper James’ employee share schemes team and supports clients with the administration and implementation of employee share schemes, helping businesses manage their ongoing incentive plan requirements efficiently and meet important compliance deadlines.
Her work includes:
- preparing HMRC valuation submissions
- drafting supporting documentation for the approval of scheme rules, option grants and option exercises
- managing EMI notifications
- assisting with annual Employment Related Securities (ERS) returns for hundreds of clients
Jen previously spent nearly 13 years at S&P Global Limited, formerly IHS Global Limited. She joined as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Legal and the wider legal team before progressing to Senior Corporate Paralegal.
In her corporate paralegal roles, Jen was responsible for the company secretarial administration of around 300 entities across the UK and the rest of EMEA. Her work included preparing and filing Companies House forms, managing shareholder changes and maintaining statutory registers.
Jen is accustomed to working under tight deadlines, particularly during the busy annual ERS reporting period from April to July. She helps clients gather the necessary information, prepare their returns and submit them on time.
Jen lives in South Wales with her husband and their two dogs. At weekends, they enjoy exploring the area’s many scenic walking routes, despite the hills and occasionally unpredictable weather. Jen has two grown-up daughters and is a proud grandmother to a young granddaughter.
“Having worked in both corporate and employee share schemes roles, I understand the importance of accurate administration, clear communication and meeting critical deadlines. I enjoy helping clients manage the practical details of their schemes and ensuring their compliance requirements are dealt with smoothly.”
