Commercial law firm Harper James Solicitors has announced the expansion of its national team with the appointment of a Financial Services Solicitor, further bolstering the firm’s specialist offering to clients.
Formerly at global law firm, DLA Piper, John Pauley joins the firm’s growing team and brings with him extensive experience in the financial services industry, particularly consumer credit, payment services, E-money, data protection and money laundering legislation.
Prior to embarking on a legal career, John worked in financial services for over a decade, performing a range of roles including project, compliance and risk management at MBNA Bank during which he instructed and worked with external and internal legal counsel.

This latest appointment comes at an exciting time for Harper James, which has recently opened office facilities in Manchester’s Piccadilly Plaza, in addition to its office space in London, Birmingham, Cambridge and Sheffield.
