In support of those affected by the conflict in Ukraine, people at Harper James raised £5,380 for DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through a virtual HJ sUPport sporting event.
Throughout April, 53 people at Harper James (66%) took part in a virtual challenge to collectively cover the distance of travelling from Birmingham to Kyiv in Ukraine and back, a total of 3,262 miles / 5,250km – with everyone logging their activities, be it walking, swimming, cycling, running and/or rowing.
Altogether, we covered 6,033 miles / 9,760km – almost doubling our distance target. We aimed to reach £3,000 in fundraising and with Harper James matching the total amount raised, we were pleased to be able to support DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal with a total of £5,380 raised.
Toby Harper, Founder and CEO, commented:
Well done to everyone who took part and got behind this fundraiser and helped us exceed our target. We are really grateful to you and to those who so kindly donated, including people at Harper James, friends and family members, in support of this important cause and the Ukrainian people affected by the conflict.
