Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and has built up a wealth of experience over the years. She’s worked at the international law firm Ashurst in London and held in-house roles at both DHL and Yodel. Before joining Harper James in June 2025, she was head of the team at Hallmark Whatley Hulme in Worcester.
Claire builds strong, trusted relationships with clients. She takes the time to understand a client’s business and provides advice that is pragmatic, commercial and solution focused. She advises at every stage of the employment cycle, including recruitment, disciplinary and grievance issues, sickness absence, performance management, restructuring and redundancy, TUPE, restrictive covenants, contractual changes, collective consultation, settlement agreements and senior exits.
My in-house experience gives me a unique perspective on the practical legal needs of my clients. I work closely with clients to develop strategies and solutions which meet your business needs and minimise legal risk.
Outside of work, Claire is passionate about health and fitness. She is an avid runner, enjoys hiking in the Malvern Hills and loves wild swimming and cycling. She also has a keen interest in theatre and film.
