Nicky Collins

Nicky joined Harper James from Slater Heelis in March 2022 as Client Services Manager having spent over 27 years working as a corporate/commercial solicitor in Manchester. Nicky was promoted to Partner at Harper James in 2023.

As a Partner in the Client Services team, Nicky's time is now principally spent supporting Harper James clients to get the most out of our services. She helps them identify the right type of legal advice they need to run and grow their business while ensuring that support from our solicitors exceeds their expectations.

Over the years, Nicky has acted for a wide range of owner-managed SMEs and individuals, advising them on their corporate acquisitions and disposals, commercial contracts and arrangements and funding requirements and brings that experience to her role in Client Services.

Nicky has a particular specialism and interest in the healthcare sector and has worked for a large number of GPs, consultants, dentists, opticians, pharmacists and care home operators. Nicky also has experience of working with charities and not-for-profits.

Nicky is a board adviser to (and former Director and Chair of) one of her client companies, PRASIS, which is a mutual established to provide support and access to indemnity insurance for plastic surgeons.

Outside of work, Nicky is married with four (grown up!) children. Apart from spending time with her family, walking and travelling are Nicky’s main passions.
