Our IP team is renowned for its expertise, with a focus on providing exceptional legal services to clients across various industries, we are committed to safeguarding and enforcing their intellectual property rights.

We are looking for a contentious IP solicitor (1-3 years PQE) to join our team of talented professionals and make a meaningful impact in the field of IP.

Who we are

Harper James is a growing and ambitious commercial law firm like no other. Forget any misconceptions you may have about the legal industry, we’re not stuffy or inhibited by traditions.

Founded in 2014, our purpose is as strong now as it was then – to enable growth-oriented businesses to succeed through delivering top-quality and accessible legal services by acting as partners in our clients’ journeys while our people enjoy a true work-life balance.

Harper James continues to grow at c40%+ year on year. This year, more than 140 people will support 3000+ businesses and we expect to double our turnover over the next two years.

What we offer

Our lawyers work on an employed and flexible basis, working remotely with access to meeting space in Birmingham, Cambridge, London, Manchester, Oxford, Southampton, Cardiff and Sheffield.

We work really hard to ensure our lawyers still feel part of a team so they can collaborate, share ideas and enjoy each other’s company. The remote set up allows people to work from wherever they want, to give people the flexibility they need, for whatever reason. We want people to feel that they belong to an ambitious company and that their contribution towards our growth is recognized individually and as a team.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced IP Solicitor with a broad range of experience in contentious IP matters. We are looking for a team player who is proactive and commercial in their approach.
