Enabling digital marketing experts Croud to stand out
Croud

With full-time teams working from offices in London, Shrewsbury, New York and Sydney, digital marketing agency Croud boasts a global network of over 2,000 experts. Together, they drive campaigns which stretch across more than 100 countries, serving an impressive list of clients including IWG, Vans, AXA IM and The North Face.

Last year, Croud were ranked 40th in a Sunday Times list of the 100 UK SMEs with the fastest-growing overseas sales. The award-winning agency has plans to build on this success by continuing to grow their business in 2021.

Harper James Solicitors, created by its founder and CEO Toby Harper to support ambitious companies from start-up to scale-up, is delighted to be working alongside Croud on their business journey. We first started working with the team there after they contacted us for advice relating to GDPR compliance.

Now, after being impressed at the service we provided, Croud has turned to us again, this time for support relating to customer contract negotiations and for help in reviewing and updating their master services agreement.

Commenting on the service we have provided, Heidi Ayton, Croud’s Chief of Compliance, said: ‘We initially turned to Harper James for help in one part of our business but quickly realised we could benefit from their support in other areas too. The level of service has been impressive. What I like about Harper James is they seem to take a proactive approach to legal services provision. They’ve looked at our business and made suggestions as to areas where they can best focus their support and expertise. It is reassuring to have a legal services provider like that working alongside you. We’d definitely recommend them to others.’

Founded in 2011, Croud has created a unique model conceived in response to the challenges many under-resourced and overstretched agency teams can face, particularly when dealing with the 24/7 nature of digital media. Their unique 'Croud Control' technology platform and network of 2,300 'Croudies' means they automate the tasks that slow other agencies down and deliver impactful results for their clients. The services they provide include media strategy, performance marketing, and digital experience, which are used by some of the world’s leading brands.

Emilia Smith, one of our commercial solicitors who has been part of the team providing support to Croud, said: ‘It has been great to work so closely with Croud and to really get to know the inner workings of their business. The team are a joy to work with – driven, commercial to their core, and open to change – a recipe for success in these uncertain times. I look forward to supporting the business as it continues to go from strength to strength!’
