Few business sectors have struggled more during the pandemic than the live events industry. Covid-19 has led to a virtual shutdown of conferences, award ceremonies, gigs and festivals alike. Those that have gone ahead have largely switched to virtual platforms. One events business that has managed to thrive during the challenging past 15 months is Neutrino Global.
The Leicestershire-based Neutrino turned to our team of experts earlier this year when they were in talks over planning an event with a Fortune 500-listed large US business. Neutrino has developed a unique widescreen eco-projection frame system for live indoor events, which is an industry first. They also source services locally and run a completely paper-free business.
Explaining how we helped, Neutrino founder Adam Taylor said: 'When we entered into negotiations with our US client, we were keen to enlist specialist support to strengthen our legal foundations. Up until then, as a new business, we’d relied on legal resources that were available online. But we realised if we wanted to be taken seriously by both the client and the industry we exist in we needed to create a professional partnership with a legal services provider.’
Adam and co-founder Jonathan Beaumont found the perfect partner in Harper James. Our commercial solicitor Rana Chatterjee created the terms and conditions that helped Neutrino land the contract they wanted. Adam said: ‘Rana liaised with our clients' solicitors in America and made sure all the i’s were dotted and t’s crossed. But it was more than that. It was important to have someone fighting our corner. I honestly don’t think we would have been taken as seriously had we not had the support we did. It will now help elevate the kind of work we are able to pitch for. In Harper James Solicitors, we found an affordable legal services provider who delivered what we needed.’
Like many of our clients, Neutrino turned to us for one service but are receiving support in other areas too. We’re currently advising them on a share agreement and more general terms of business attached to their business.
‘I’d definitely recommend Harper James Solicitors to others,’ Adam added. ‘The past 15 months have been incredibly challenging for businesses operating in the space we do. But we’ve been able to come through the other side and we are grateful to Harper James Solicitors for the support they have given us in that process. Now we are focused on the future.’
Commenting on our legal work with Neutrino, Rana commented: ‘Neutrino is a fantastic business who are really shaking up the way events are hosted and run. It was a pleasure to help them through this key moment in their lifecycle and we see a bright future ahead.'
