Innovative peer-to-peer feedback platform launches following legal support from Harper James
Howamigoing

We've recently advised on the launch of an innovative new peer-to-peer professional feedback platform which aims to make the employee appraisal process ‘pain-free’.

Focusing on simplicity, flexibility, quality and affordability, Howamigoing is a UX and UI-led feedback experience founded by former JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs investment banker, Julian Cook.

Designed to allow colleagues to request and provide feedback securely and anonymously, the unique service champions a more informal and user friendly approach to personal development in the workplace.

Howamigoing appointed Harper James earlier this year ahead of the launch; signing up to our Enable subscription service in order to make the best of our legal expertise, including support with employee contracts and data protection regulations.

The business launched to the public earlier this month and has already secured a number of UK based and international customers to the platform which utilises cloud technology to provide a modern feedback experience on any suitable device, at any time, from anywhere in the world.

Founder of Howamigoing, Julian Cook, commented: 'We’ve been fine-tuning the Howamigoing platform in stealth-mode for a few years and we’re excited to now be in a position to bring such a unique product to market.

'The idea came following pretty poor appraisal processes for myself along with a health scare. It was evident that there was a real need for something that could save time, money and anxiety for companies of all sizes. It also became evident that it’s not enough to use technology to streamline a manual process - in 2018 you need to conscientiously design a first-class user experience that’s intuitive, human and beautiful.

'Toby and his team have done such a fantastic job providing support across fundraising, IP, employment, GDPR and option pool establishment. Harper James has helped us get solid legal advice, often at short notice relating to a number of common start-up hurdles.  There is rarely a week that goes by without me calling on the team - they’ve been a true asset to us.'

Our own founder and CEO, Toby Harper, said: 'Here at Harper James, we pride ourselves on our unique approach to legal services and enjoy working with innovative companies like Howamigoing.

'I have always worked with, or on behalf of, technology-based or market disruptive companies and so, when designing the initial concept for Enable, I wanted to reflect how those businesses did business in our own approach to providing legal services.

'Enable is aimed at organisations that require a number of different legal services on an ongoing basis as they strive to establish themselves in the market place, but aren’t necessarily in a position, or want, to commit to in-house counsel.'
