Fashion-forward snow sports brand Oneskee recently secured £250,000 of investment from Midven, in a deal facilitated by Harper James Solicitors. The investment from the venture capital firm gives significant backing to Oneskee’s objectives to grow profitably beyond its current network and product range.
Supported by Harper James Solicitors, a law firm specialising in affordable and accessible legal services for startups and early growth businesses, Oneskee has received financial backing to grow its distribution network and product range. Set up in 2014 and based in Leamington Spa, Oneskee initially specialised in signature one-piece snow suits. As Oneskee looks to expand, the investment from Midven represents a step forward in becoming a world-recognised snow sports brand.
Throughout the investment deal, which also included restructuring shares and putting in place the potential for a continued relationship with Midven, Oneskee worked closely with Harper James Solicitors. As one of Harper James’s Enable clients, Oneskee were able to access legal support, advice and administrative services for rates much lower than through traditional law firms. The process from instruction to completion was extremely quick, taking just ten days to finalise.
The deal will also allow Oneskee to branch out from its wholesale service into partnerships with retailers, and to support itself through seasonal income differences.
Speaking about the investment, Adam Kudryl, Corporate Partner at Harper James Solicitors, said: “We are really pleased to have helped Oneskee to secure this fantastic investment from Midven. Supporting small businesses in achieving their expansion goals is one of our key aims as a firm, so it was a pleasure to pull out the stops for Oneskee and make this investment happen in such a short timeframe.”
Scott Clifford, Founder at Oneskee, said: “We’d like to thank Harper James for all of their support throughout the investment deal process. As well as providing vital legal advice, Adam and the team at Harper James gave us guidance on the next steps of our growth, and we look forward to working with the team on a variety of projects in the future.”
