Bridging the legal support gap for Excelsior

Bridging the legal support gap for Excelsior
Excelsior

Harper James Solicitors is helping a high-growth edtech business specialising in fitness to power forward by providing 'reassuring' legal support.

Excelsior Development Technologies contacted our legal experts for help in creating bespoke terms and conditions, and contracts for both resellers and customers.

The company, which provides learning and development solutions to the fitness industry by engaging educators, turned to Harper James following a negative experience with another legal services provider.

Our commercial partner Karen Mason developed bespoke terms and conditions and contracts that matched Excelsior's needs.

Commenting on the service provided, Excelsior’s managing partner, Chris Rock, said: 'In terms of my approach to business, I am willing to take seek out opportunities and calculated chances if I believe there will be a long-term benefit. One area where I won’t take any risk is legal matters. Due to the nature of the service we provide, ensuring we had watertight terms in place is absolutely vital, which allows us to concentrate on growing our business.'

'We’d previously worked with a legal services provider who didn’t meet our expectations. When Harper James Solicitors were recommended to me, I was a little sceptical, but the service Karen provided was excellent and the support has been invaluable.'

Excelsior, like many businesses within the fitness industry, have endured a very difficult 15 months due to the closure of gyms and other leisure facilities. Despite this the company, based in Bridgwater, Somerset, has continued to grow and now boasts David Lloyd, My Time Active and Barnsley Premier Leisure among its clients.

Chris said Excelsior plans to use Harper James Solicitors services again soon for support in an exciting new chapter in the company’s business lifecycle: 'We are looking at bringing in new members to the team,' he added, 'so we will be getting legal advice around putting these contracts in place. The great thing about the Harper James Solicitors model is that we can access it when we need it. That is a really reassuring system of working for a growing business like ours.'
