Helping RedteQ Analytical take ownership of their future
RedteQ

From its beginnings in a home garage to becoming a trusted name in global security solutions, RedteQ Analytical Ltd has always been driven by innovation and ambition. Founded by Alan Redpath in 2013, the company has since carved out a unique space in the checkpoint security market, supplying and maintaining equipment for airports and major venues.

Innovation is also a key part of their journey. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, RedteQ developed the world’s first automated COVID disinfection system for security trays, used by Eurostar. It’s a perfect example of how the company turns challenges into opportunities – something Director at RedteQ, Kellymarie Redpath, says the business has continued to do since 2020. “COVID actually helped us grow. We rebuilt and came back stronger.”

At the heart of RedteQ’s growth is the team’s relentless drive to deliver smarter, more efficient security solutions. When it came time to secure the next big step in their journey and future – purchasing their operational building – RedteQ turned to our commercial property team.

Kellymarie says:

We’d leased the unit for three years, so when the chance to buy it came up, it felt like the right move for the business and our long-term plans. It’s meant we’ve become commercial landlords ourselves.

Owning their premises has given RedteQ greater control and flexibility, allowing them to lease space to other business owners who need operational facilities. But, as with any commercial property transaction, the process came with its complexities. The team knew they needed legal advice that was clear, reliable, and stress-free. That’s where Harper James came in.

RedteQ are a long-standing client on our Enable subscription plan. The plan includes one hour of legal advice each month, which rolls over if unused, offering flexibility as and when support is needed. Enable clients also benefit from reduced hourly rates for additional time and full access to our wide range of legal services. For a dynamic and fast-growing business like RedteQ, this consistent and accessible support makes legal matters simpler to manage and gives added peace of mind.

Senior Commercial Property Solicitor, Samantha Paxton, who led on the transaction, says the collaboration was a great experience from start to finish:

Working with Alan and Kellymarie is always a pleasure. They’re incredibly organised, commercially minded, and open to advice – which only makes for a very smooth process. It’s great to support such an innovative and interesting business.

Now operating with a 21-strong team across Heathrow, Manchester and a field team on the ground, RedteQ remains focused on delivering a high-quality offering and reaching new markets. Owning their premises is just one more step in building a resilient, forward-thinking business.
