Samantha Paxton

Sam is a senior commercial property solicitor with over 20 years’ of experience in private practice.

Qualifying in 2006, she spent a large part of her career working as part of an award winning Corporate Occupiers Team at Eversheds (now Eversheds Sutherland). She has joined Harper James from Davitt Jones Bould, where she worked for 5 years on a consultant basis.

Her experience covers a wide range of commercial property matters including the management of large property portfolios, leasehold and freehold acquisitions and disposals, and all aspects of estate management work. She has experience of acting for a varied client base ranging from central government, private individuals, SMEs and major real estate corporate clients. She has also advised clients within various sectors including utilities, retail, investment, automotive, banking and public.

I love working for and building relationships with a wide array of clients at Harper James. There is such a sense of job satisfaction in not only helping businesses to get off the ground but also in assisting with their expansion and growth. I appreciate that some of the legal jargon and wording can be rather daunting and complex and so I always take the time to try and explain the process and concepts to clients in as straightforward a way as possible.

Outside of work, Sam spends the majority of her spare time raising (and refereeing!) her three beautiful boys. She also enjoys long walks with their newly adopted mini-Daxi puppy and her guilty pleasure is watching reality TV (for much needed escapism!)
