Business life cycle
Getting on with it
Wondering how to optimise and protect your ‘business as usual’?
Things are moving forward and you’re wanting to ensure the fundamentals are in line with the way you see the business shaping. Small disputes and resolutions are likely cropping up.
Understanding your situation
Your team is getting on with it...
You have worked hard and money is coming in, and going out. Your culture has formed but there may have been some disagreements along the way, either with contractors, suppliers, clients or employees. Maybe some of your contracts or policies need changing or enforcing.
New clients or customers means more personal data. What do you need to know about data protection and the dreaded GDPR? Our lawyers remove the risk and empower you with the strategies to keep you on track… smooth sailing.
Here are some of the challenges you may encounter:
Buying or licensing software and hardware
Most businesses are enabled by technology. Signing up to a software licence that does not meet your business needs or exposes you to unexpected liabilities could be an expensive mistake to make. Our specialist solicitors take the time to understand your IT and business needs so that your software licence agreements meet your business requirements.
Dealing with disputes
We can help you across a broad range of commercial, financial and professional disputes varying from smaller claims to much more complex and high-value claims. Our dispute resolution solicitors have many years of experience in resolving disputes for businesses. Rest assured that you’re in safe hands.
Data protection and data breaches
When a data breach occurs, we’ll work quickly to help you minimise its financial and reputational impact. While we deal with the ICO and claimants, you can get on with the day-to-day running of your business.
Employment litigation
Liability relating to claims before, during or after an employee’s time with your business can be costly, disruptive, and stressful. We’ll take on that stress for you so you can concentrate on the bigger picture – managing your business.
Finding and hiring the right people
From templates for simple employment contracts to bespoke contracts for specialist roles or arrangements, including for workers and consultants, we can draft and review all of your employment documentation.
People management and growing your team
We can make sure that your talent policies are in order, that you are consultative and fair and have clear and transparent processes throughout your business. We can also assist with employee share schemes to attract and retain your staff whom you have worked hard to recruit and train.
Policies and agreements
Every business enters into commercial contracts daily, whether they are with customers, suppliers, distributors and so on. Whatever stage you’re at, we can help your business draft, review and negotiate compliant contracts to avoid disputes and litigation, and provide you with the very best representation if you do need to go to court.
