We become an extension of your team

Our Extend plan is designed for businesses with more complex and frequent legal needs, offering seamless support that integrates directly into your operations.

Whether you need specialist expertise to work as an extension of your in-house legal team or a reliable partner to handle your day-to-day legal work, Extend ‘plugs in’ to your business, allowing you to focus on high-level strategy and driving growth.

With our Extend plan, you’re not just outsourcing legal tasks — you’re gaining a trusted partnership and a team that’s committed to helping your business thrive. See an example of a curated Extend team below.

Here’s how it works:

  • Tailored expertise: We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. We assess your unique business requirements and handpick a curated team of subject matter experts to support your legal needs — now and in the future. Your Extend team is chosen specifically to match your unique requirements, challenges and goals.
  • Scalable support: As your business grows, your legal support scales with it. Whether you need extra resources for a major project or routine legal assistance, our flexible model ensures you have the right support, when you need it. You will have access to the full breadth across and within our legal teams, providing you with continuity and scalability as required.
  • Cost efficiency: By committing to a longer-term subscription partnership, you benefit from discounted packages and a team that will invest time in getting to know you. This allows you to manage legal requirements and budgets more effectively, with no surprises or hidden fees.
  • Proactive partnership: Our role is not just reactive. We become an extension of your team, identifying risks and opportunities early, and helping you stay ahead in a competitive landscape and fast-moving commercial environment.

What does it cost?

Including an initial 3-month trial period, your Extend plan runs for a rolling period of 12 months, with an option to renew or cancel at the end of that period. The cost of your chosen Extend package is invoiced quarterly in advance, and the value can be used towards projects across our full range of legal services on an hourly rate basis and towards our fixed fee products.*

Extend packages Plan value at Standard Rates Equivalent partner / senior solicitor time Extend Discount Extend plan cost
Tier 3 £17,400 60 hours 27.58% £12,600
Tier 2 £34,800 120 hours 31.03% £24,000
Tier 1 £58,000 200 hours 34.48% £38,000
We also offer bespoke larger packages to suit your requirements

With our Extend plan, we commit to fostering an on-going partnership, and clients are encouraged to choose a package that aligns with their anticipated annual legal needs. If it is expected that more than 50% of the value in a package will be consumed within the first quarter, a larger package may be required.

While your legal needs may inevitably fluctuate throughout the year, the aim of this plan is that the value usage is distributed relatively evenly across the four quarters of the subscription year. If the value is used up sooner than the 12-month period, you can purchase a new package.

*Harper James retains the right to invoice earlier based on a client’s usage.
