Client Services Manager
Laura joined Harper James in 2023 as a client service manager. She joins from Lester Aldridge where she was a partner in the commercial real estate team, and most recently was their Head of Learning and People Development.
In her role with us, Laura supports clients to get the most from the services Harper James offers. She helps clients identify the right type of legal advice needed to operate and grow their business, while ensuring that the support and guidance our solicitors provide exceeds expectations.
Laura has over 15 years experience acting for SMEs, pension trustees, owner-managed businesses and PLCs on a wide range of commercial agreements and real estate transactions, including investment acquisitions/disposals, refinancing, secured lending, property portfolio management, and leases.
She has particular expertise in acting for lenders and insolvency practitioners in providing strategic advice, security reviews, and advice both pre/ post appointment of administrators and fixed charge receivers, and the sale of trading care homes, hotels and pubs for administrators and receivers. In her most recent role, she worked on numerous projects and operational issues across the key functions of the business including HR, business development, finance, IT and compliance.
She holds a CIPD level 5 diploma in learning and development, an area she views as key to any business on a growth journey.
Outside of work, she spends her time as social secretary to her children and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves travelling and trying new food when she does! Laura also enjoys weight training and countryside walks with her golden retriever.
