As Compliance Assistant, Sophie supports our Compliance Manager with new client matter onboarding, AML requirements, auditing procedures, and compliance enquiries across Harper James.
Sophie qualified as a solicitor in 2014. After initially practising as a solicitor, she branched out into Legal Compliance after developing a specific interest in the essential internal policies of a law firm.
Prior to her role at Harper James, Sophie worked for over 5 years in the Compliance department of a large Cardiff-based law firm, where she dealt with a wide range of procedures and investigations.
Sophie has three children who keep her busy! In her spare time, she enjoys running, going to the gym and reading.
